Changing jobs....the mere mention of changing jobs brings not too fond memories...some distant, some recent.
I'm no stranger to the whole dance routine that everyone has to go through to get a "hopefully" good job. I'm 26 and I've been working since 16. In the last 10 years, I've been a waitress, sales promoter, office girl, admin exec, director, account manager, conference development manager, asst marketing manager....and in almost all of these jobs, i had to go through the whole process of looking for a job, applying for it, waiting anxiously for a call...getting disappointed when there are no calls...getting worried whether your resume was a source of laughter and amusement to some deranged HR manager....going for the interview and praying your hands are not sweaty and you don't fall flat on your face
Right now once again I'm embarking on the journey of looking for a job. Like every other person on this planet, i hate it! The whole thing is just totally unpleasant. And even if you get the job, you have to go through the whole process of getting to know new ppl, learning new things, assimilating to the new environment. And if you're really unlucky, you might end up like me right now. Sucky boss, stupid management (i.e. literally like Dilbert) and backstabbing colleagues. (If I'm not mistaken I have some colleagues on Friendster, and they might see this....but hey, if you're gonna act like one, be prepared to be called one to your face!!)
Preparing my resume now...gonna massively send it out...hoping to impress someone with it......till then, I'll sit here and anxiously wait, bite my nails, look at my phone, will it to ring (and hopefully its not my mom or sisters wanting something) ...and go for horrid interviews....
-sigh- working life in KL =p
